MILLIE IS FULLY MOBILE and JOSHUA HAS HOMEWORK

Well, we have many exciting happenings going on at the Burgess household.  Millie is officially mobile, has a bottom tooth (finally) and 8 months old.  She has been scooting around for a while and sitting up but she is now CRAWLING! Millie is also able to pull up.  She is just getting too big.   It is super cute to see her scoot across the floor but I totally know what I am in for with two little pumpkins mobile now. WOW!  We also tried the Johnny Jump Up which she Loved!  Joshua desperately wants to get it in but he says, "it's Millies', I am too big."  His vocabulary is amazing to me and cracks us up on a daily basis. He can talk to you as if he is an adult at times.  Too silly.  Right now he is into Madagascar (probably not even supposed to be watching it but its cute and he doesn't get the "adult" humor yet) so he loves I and II.  Joshua actually had his first homework assignment at the ripe old age of 2.  His school sent home a very large flower to decorate with things he likes.  I will have to admit it was hard for me to let him do it and me not try to help but I managed to stay out of his way and it turned out great.

A little bath time reading for the two kiddos.
Okay, I didn't mean to blind him with the flash on this one, but had to show you all that he LOVES, LOVES, LOVES Madagascar the movie.  These are all of the main characters.  The Easter Bunny brought them and he goes to bed with them every night and wakes up having to carry them all to the den just like you see.  HILARIOUS!  Alex-the lion, Gloria-the Hippo, Melman-the Giraffe (his favorite), Marty-the Zebra and Private-the Penguin.  Gloria is starting to edge Melman out of the favorite
Millie bouncing in her Johnny Jump Up.
Joshua taking a break from bubble blowing.  Thanks Shelby, Mike and Jack for the no spill bubbles, AWESOME!

Yes, it is April in B'ham and we are wearing jackets, rediculous!  However, Joshua having a great time blowing bubbles.
Millie taking a short break from jumping to shoot me a smile.
She is so proud, as are we, that she is now crawling.
Joshua decided to move the dog bowls all around the backyard and Lola decided she needed to check things out.

Lola also had to check out Millie, who squeals every time she sees the doggies.  Oscar and Milo are resting from fetching the logs they bring us to throw.
Spaghetti is one of Joshua's favorite meals. As you can see, we don't have much to clean up after this meal....ha!
This is Joshua's flower.  He put dino stickers on, jungle and zoo stickers and pictures of he and Millie.  The only thing mommy helped him with was cutting out the pictures and putting tape on the back.  Joshua did all the work.
This is what MIllie was doing while we worked on the flower.

Joshua is putting the stickers on his flower.
We have this puzzle and a dinosaur puzzle that Joshua can put together.  I just had to show it off.  It amazes me that these little guys can do on a daily basis.
When Joshua finishes his puzzles he either pulls them a part and puts them in their box or pulls them a part and asks to do it again.
Millie crawled herself underneath the ottoman..too funny.

Dawn and the girls visit & EASTER

Okay, anyone reading this blog knows about our children's ability to fight sleep. Even though Millie is a great little sleeper she still has an amazing ability to fight it at times.  I came home from work and grandmommy had put her down for a nap, so of course I go and check as I always do when they are sleeping.  Well, Millie had fallen asleep sitting up. Hilarious.
Meghan and Millie got some bonding time!

Maddie and Joshua also got their boding time and drawing time.
Taking a minute to stop and smell the flowers.
A pic with mommy.  Forgot to clean the lens.
 A pic with daddy.

In our Easter best with Grandmommy.
Playing at Amie and Don Don's by the rock. For those of you who have seen Madagascar the movie it is one of Joshua's favorite parts when Melman kicks a rock.
Sitting pretty.
The only picture I get could Joshua to get remotely close to Millie.  He has started to boycott some pictures here lately and it is killing me.
Who me?
Joshua was doing everything he could to not have to get his picture taken. We were way tired.
Sporting our bunny ears. They are so in this season.
Joshua listening for the ocean in this shell but also saying he was calling Mizzus Shell which is what he calls Mrs. Michelle.

Goin' on a hunt...
Millie getting some time with Lindsey and Sassy.

Joshua having a bit of a melt down when we had to go inside.

Here is the adorable Thompson family.  Isn't little Jack just precious?  Looks just like Mighty Mike!
We had a great time hanging out with Brad and Rebekah.  (Rebekah had already caught the shuttle)
